Green Initiatives

Gables dedicated to "Taking Care of Our Environment."

We are mindful of our impact on the local environment and have launched a host of corporate "green" initiatives to help do our part.

Our newest construction includes more "green building" practices such as the use high efficiency appliances and systems, recycled construction materials, site plans to better accommodate refuse recycling, and choosing community sites close to public transportation. Several new communities have been US Green Building Council, Earthcraft™ or EnergyStar™ certified, and we continually work with local conservation and "green building" organizations throughout our development process.

Additionally, Gables is going "green" in our communities and corporate offices by actively recycling, reducing paper and energy consumption and encouraging all associates to follow environmentally friendly practices.
